Personally I dont like this idea. What would the price be set too ??

Take into account that iPool and iSnooker are a buisness, and buisnesses need to make money to survive i think this could actually kill the game not enhance it.

ATM a years code is around the £30 mark, which I agree is steep considering the recession, ppl outta work etc etc, and think that a reduction would be a much better option, that way iPool and iSnooker is still pulling money in on a regular basis (Brandon cant work for free, and as such 1 off payments would mean eventually he'd have too, thus him needing to go find a paid job and put the games as a 2nd, splitting his time considerably) We go with a 1 off payment and ppl hang about for 10 yrs, theres 300 quid as the price stands atm, wer gonna charge ppl 300 for 1 off payment ??

Like you said Shirley £30 for a year code is pricey. So personally i think that the prices should be:

12Months - £20
6Months - £12
1Month - £3

The above prices i think are reasonable and therefore should attract peoples attention and bring them to iPool. At the moment pople are not buying pool, but if these prices were to change then more people would buy which would also mean that obviously profits are up for the business side of things.
Once numbers start to grow again then maybe the price could then be raised by a couple of pound.

essentially SA, what you say is correct but i do not think it would result in the disaster you anticipate as you wouldnt have had the mass exodus with the 1 off payment like we have had, we'd probably have full lobbies in the evenings making it look an extremely interesting place to be and we would gain new players all the time so i think the idea holds credability but its probably just too much of a risk. the reducing prices for codes is a much safer path to go down so lets give this a try first. On another note, i think if this is brandon putting the games first id hate to see it when he puts it second ....i dont see him on the forum, i dont see him on the game, he didnt complete his league matches, he put a new version together which had only one new feature, a blue cloth and hailed it as the latest release while ignoring so many great ideas on this forum by paying members like bradman who made 7 or 8 superb suggestions that would have improved the game. So i think to believe that B puts the games first is proposterous. Call me naieve if you like but what is there to do after the new version is released other than advertise and mingle on the forum and the game itself with his members discussing new ideas and ways to improve the game, (and i dont mean the gameplay) the only time i could understand him disappearing is a week or so before a new version is released.

The fact Memir Games is his full time job makes it even more amazing that seemingly minimal effort is being put in, on pool anyway.

agree with what is getting said here, but (and a big but) what if everyone went with the 1 payment, how would that work?

because at the moment you're lucky if ur gettin a regular, 20/30 ppl on the game at any given time, so if they all bought a 1 off
payment at say £30 a year, its bringing in $750 at average (splitting the diff at 25ppl at $30 per yr), cant see how that helps TBH!!

but, for fear of flogging the same old stick, it makes sence to lower the prices, to be honest, i'm only buying at 1 code per month ( ok won 2 codes in a tourny last month) but tbh, i was only buyin singles because, lets be honest noone really has a clue where this game is headin!!!and i for 1 dont fancy wasting money on a game that, well TBH i love, but, at the same time breaking my heart beacause, the people who run it, well in my eyes just dont seem to want to take to to the level it should be, the potential is massive (bigger than on snooker IMO) but just seems to me that more time and effort is being put into snoooker, simply due to the numbers on there!!!

As always just an opinion, whether it get noticed or not, SOMETHING NEEDS DOING ON HERE!!! FACT!!
